Spring onion sabzi recipe
In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for spring onion sabzi recipe. Onions are an integral part of Indian cuisine. Spring onion is also included in Indian food in many ways. We make Spring onion curry, salad, thalipattu, bajji, and many more. In north Karnataka, farmers used to pluck Spring onions from farms and have them as a salad for their lunch along with Roti and rice. My grandma used to make a very traditional style of Spring onion curry and it tasted heavenly yum along with Chapati or roti. I learnt this recipe from her. Now, without any delay let’s jump into the recipe.

Ingredients
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp green chili and garlic paste or you can also add Hasi khara
1 small onion cut into pieces
4-5 curry leaves
1 cup of chopped Spring Onions except green leaves
1 small tomato cut into pieces
1/4 the tbsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp chopped Coriander stems
1 cup of chopped spring onion leaves
1/2 tbsp Salt according to taste
1 tbsp Red chili powder
1 tbsp roasted peanuts powder
Instructions with Images
In a pan add 2 tbsp cooking oil
Once the oil is heated, add 1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds
Add 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds and let them splatter.
Now Add 1 tbsp green chilli and garlic paste or you can also add Hasi khara and Saute everything well
Add 1 small onion cut into pieces and saute well
After that, add 4-5 curry leaves and saute
Now, add chopped Spring Onions except green leaves and saute
Add 1 small tomato cut into pieces and cook everything well
Now, add 1/2 tbsp Salt ( according to taste )
Add 1/4th tbsp Turmeric powder
Mix everything well
Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes
Now, add 2 tbsp chopped Coriander stems
And, add 1 cup of chopped spring onion leaves and Saute everything well
Now, add 1 tbsp Red chili powder
Add 1 tbsp roasted peanuts powder and Mix everything well

Add a little water and mix
Close the lid and cook it for 3 minutes
After 3 minutes. Open the lid and Mix everything well
Now, our village-style Spring onion curry is ready to enjoy.
