In today’s blog, I will share the recipe for Karchikayi palya. It is one of the unique vegetables curry in North Karnataka. It is mostly available in the monsoon seasons of North Karnataka. I still remember, whenever I used to go to the market with my father, he used to buy these vegetables in large quantities. Because everyone in our home loves it and also it found very rare. Women from Villages go to the forest nearby to collect and sell them. It has high demand because of its health benefits. It helps in reducing kidney stones, diabetes, and stomach-related issues. So, without any delay let’s get into the recipe.
Add the roasted karchikayi and mix everything well
Add 1/4 th tbsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp Salt and mix everything well
Now, add 1 tbsp Red chili powder and mix
Lastly, add 1 tbsp Niger seeds powder
Mix everything well
Now, our healthy and tasty Karchikayi palya is ready.
Enjoy it with Jowar roti, Ragi rotti, or Akki rotti for the beat combination. It doesn’t taste good with chapati. It’s very healthy to consume it fresh. It tastes a bit bitter but tasty.
