Temple-style lemon rice recipe
In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe of Temple-style lemon rice recipe. I love visiting the temple with my family and friends. I get more positive energy and good vibes in temples. And also I love to savor the lemon rice served at temples as prasadam. The lemon rice served in temples has a different flavor and taste. I and my friends used to go temple near our college every day, just to enjoy different rice items served as prasadam. Lemon rice was our favorite. One day with curiosity, I asked the person serving us lemon rice to devotees for the recipe and for my luck, he shared the recipe with me. I tried it at home and guess what it was as tasty as it is served in temples. So, let me share the recipe with you…

Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp Ghee
¼ th cup of peanuts
1 tbsp Urad dal
½ tbsp Mustard seeds
½ tbsp Cumin seeds
2 tbsp chopped garlic
5-6 curry leaves
3 slit green chilies
½ tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp ( salt as per taste )
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
¼ th tbsp Sugar
½ lemon
2 cups of steamed rice
Instructions with Images
In a pan add 2 tbsp oil
Add 1 tbsp Ghee
Add ¼ th cup of peanuts and fry them well
Now, add 1 tbsp Urad dal and saute
Add ½ tbsp Mustard seeds and ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
Add 2 tbsp chopped garlic
And add 5-6 curry leaves and 3 slit green chilies
Add ½ tbsp turmeric powder
Now, add 1 tbsp salt as per taste
Add 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Add ¼ th tbsp Sugar and saute
Turn off the gas and squeeze ½ lemon into it
Mix everything well
Now, add 2 cups of steamed rice
Mix everything well
Now our temple-style Lemon rice is ready to savor.
You can enjoy it with some dry peanut chutney or coconut chutney.
