In today’s blog, I will share the Alasande kalu palya recipe in our traditional style. In Indian cuisine, we consume many pulses and legumes in various forms in our daily meals. Alasande kalu palya recipe
Ingredients
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- ½ tbsp of Mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp of cumin seeds
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp green chilies and garlic paste.
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1 bunch of dill leaves
- 1 bunch of Rajagiri leaves
- ½ tbsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- ½ tbsp coriander powder
- 1 ½ cups boiled black-eyed peas
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
Instructions
- In a pan, add 2-3 tbsp of oil
- Add ½ tbsp of Mustard seeds and ½ tbsp of cumin seeds and let them splatter
- Now add 1 cup of chopped onion and saute until the raw smell reduces.
- Add 1 cup of chopped tomato and cook until they become soft
- Add 4-5 curry leaves and saute.
- Now 1 tbsp of green chilies and garlic paste and saute until the raw smell reduces.
- When everything is cooked well, add 1 bunch of chopped Rajagiri soppu and saute well.
- Add 1 bunch of chopped Dil leaves and cook everything well.
- Add ½ tbsp Garam masala, 1 tbsp red chili powder, and ½ tbsp Coriander powder, and mix everything well.
- Once everything is cooked well, add boiled black-eyed peas and mix well.
- Boil the peas with salt and water
- Once everything is mixed well, cook for 5 more minutes, so that every flavor gets mixed well.
- And now the tastiest, Alasande kalu palya is ready to savor.
