Indian festivals are incomplete without sweets. My mother used to start preparing for festivals a week before. Laddu, Holige, chakkli,etc.She used to prepare varieties of laddus…Among them, coconut ladu is one of my favorites. Now, my daughter loves these laddus…I learned the recipe of coconut ladu from my mom…In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for coconut laddu…

Coconut Ladu
Ingredients
- 250- gram Grated coconut
- 50 ml Milk
- 2 Cardomom
- 100 gram Sugar
Instructions
- Take 250 grams of freshly grated coconut in a mixing bowl
- Add 100 grams of sugar
- And add 50 ml of milk and mix well.
- Now add 2 cardamoms and mix well.
- Rest it for 1 hour
- After 1 hour, Heat a pan and add the mixture to the pan.
- Now start mixing it continuously. Make sure not to burn it.
- Mix and cook until the mixture turns light brown
- It starts to get thick, Now the mixture is ready to prepare laddu
- Apply little water to the hand and check if the mixture is ready to prepare ladu. If the mixture is holding shape, then it is ready.
- Allow the mixture to cool down on a large plate. When the mixture is just warm start preparing laddu.
- Take one fist-size(According to the need) mixture and start pressing it gently in a circular motion. (Watch the video to know the exact method of preparing laddu).
- Now the coconut ladu is ready to savor.
