Jolada Rotti Recipe
In Today’s blog, I am going to share the Jolada rotti recipe. I can go on and on to paradise the taste and health benefits of the jowar roti. It is high in fiber and gluten-free. No oil is used to make this roti. North Karnataka is very famous for Jolada rotti. It is very easy to make this roti, with a little hands-on experience. Of course, it takes some time to get the trick to beat and make the roti. But, you can start by learning to make rotis using the rolling pin. The taste of the jowar roti increase when you beat it with your hands.

Jolada Rotti Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Jowar flour
- 1 tbsp salt
- Add 1 cup of hot boiling water
Instructions
- In a big mixing plate/ Paratha, add 2 cups of Jowar flour
- Mix the flour well and make a hole in the middle
- Add 1 tbsp Salt
- Add 1 cup of hot boiling water into the hole
- Mix the flour with water using the spoon. First mix the flour surrounding the water.
- Then using your hands start kneading the dough by sprinkling cold water
- The consistency of the dough should be as shown in the images below.
- Take a small ball of Jowar dough make it into a ball and pat it.
- Sprinkle some dry jowar flour on the rolling plate and start patting the dough using your hands in a circular motion.
- You should use one hand to pat and the other to turn the dough in a circular motion.

- The patting of the roti should be a continuous process.
- You can sprinkle some dry flour if needed.
- Once, the roti is flattened, start making roti using the rolling pin with very little pressure.
- Sprinkle some dry jowar flour
- Take the ball-sized dough and start rolling it gently.
- The thinner the roti becomes, the tastier it gets.
- Heat a pan for heating.
- Transform the roti onto the hot Tawa. The Tawa should be hot.
- Apply some cold water using a towel on the roti to remove the excess dry flour.
- Don't wait till the water completely dries. Otherwise, rotis will become rough.
- Turn it over on another side and roast or cook the roti.
- The bubble starts to appear.
- Now the soft and tasty Jolwar roti is ready to savor.
