Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Soaked Green peas
  • 3 Medium Potatoes
  • ½ cup Onion
  • 1 Cup Cabbage
  • ¼ cup Capsicum
  • ½ cup Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 Mug Water
  • 2 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • ½ tbsp Garam masala
  • 1 Small cube Butter
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • ¼ Cup Coriander leaves
  • 2 Pavs As per requirement

Instructions
 

  • Take a pressure cooker and add 2 small cups of Soaked Green peas
  • Add 3 medium size Potatoes cut into Half
  • Now, add ½ tbsp Salt and 1 tbsp oil
  • Finally, close the lid and wait for 4 whistles, and then turn off the gas.
  • Take a pan and add a tbsp Butter and 1 tbsp oil.
  • Add ½ cup chopped onions and saute well till the onions change color.
  • Next, add 1 cup Chopped Cabbage and saute well
  • Add ¼ cup of Capsicum and saute well.
  • Once everything is roasted well, Add ½ cup chopped tomato and mix well until they become soft.
  • Now, Add 2 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
  • Add 1 tbsp red chili powder and ½ tbsp Garam masala
  • Mix all the masala well.
  • After that, Check the cooked Potatoes and green peas.
  • Take one small pea and smash it and check if peas are cooked well.
  • Collect the excess water into a bowl for later use.
  • Separate the potatoes and peel off the skin.
  • Next, smash Both Potatoes and Green peas together using a smasher.
  • Now, add the smashed Mixture into the Masala of Bhaji.
  • Mix everything well.
  • After that add separated water into the mixture and give a good mix.
  • Close the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes open the lid and give a mix.
  • Lastly, add coriander leaves and mix.
  • Now, The Bhaji is ready.
  • Heat a Tawa/ Pan and add tbsp Butter and spread it.
  • Cut the Pav into Half (Do not cut fully)
  • Place the Cut pav onto the Tawa and let it roast.
  • Once it is well roasted on one side, Flip the pav and roast on another side.
  • When Pav is well roasted on both sides take it out and add to the serving plate.
  • Finally, Both Pav And Bhaji are ready to serve hot.
  • Take a serving plate and add Bhaji as per the requirement. Serve the Bhaji with Hot Pavs, chopped onions, Sev, and a ¼ piece of lemon.
  • Squeeze the lemon on Bhaji and enjoy the Pav bhaji with your loved ones.
